SET is looking for a hands on finance manager to be responsible for the effective operation of the finance function within SET. This is a new role within the organisation, and will be suited to an individual who is willing to develop this role to suit the organisation’s needs.
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting team and financial processes as well as providing strategic direction to the CEO and Board. The Finance Manager reports directly into the CEO and works closely with the Board of Trustees in preparing the annual accounts. This role will manage the finances of both the Trust and its trading subsidiary.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CA or CIMA), and be a self-starting individual, with the ability to work unsupervised. This role will be a key interface between management and the Board, and the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and be able think creatively to identify beneficial financial arrangements for the organisations. Experience in the charity sector will be desirable.
This is a part-time, 2 day per week role. Working arrangements will be flexible.
