SENIOR PLANNER HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING (1 POSITION)
Reports to: Head, Human Resource Planning and Development
Major Function
This is a Middle Managerial position where the Officer will be responsible for coordinating, harmonizing and directing all plans and strategies
Specific duties and Responsibilities
The applicant will be responsible for:
1. Coordinating and harmonizing all activities related to planning for and development of the country’s human resources at the national and local levels
2. Assisting the head in working with educational and training institutions in developing programmes and curricular that addresses the country’s critical skills and capacity requirements.
3. Coordinating and harmonizing national efforts at all levels, for carrying out continuous assessment of the human resource situation in the country.
4. Maintaining the national human resource databank
5. Carrying out assessments and projections of the human resource development, and coordinating and harmonizing formulation of new policies for improving the performance of educational and training systems.
6. Reviewing the existing policies and programmes on human resource development, and coordinating and harmonizing formulation of new policies for improving the performance of educational and training systems.
7. Assessing documents and reports on the capacity and performance of existing training institutions and the delivery systems in place.
8. Monitoring the global human resource development trends and ensures the review and update of the national human resource development practices.
9. Preparing and submitting section quarterly and annual work plans and budgets, as well as reports.
Key Result Areas:
• Produce reports on skills stock, its demand and supply.
• Maintain an up to- date and efficient human resources databank maintained.
• Produce reports on harmonized national training needs assessments
Remuneration
Remuneration to all. the above positions will be attractive and commensurate with the responsibilities attached to them.
Job requirement
Person Specifications/ Qualifications
The Officer must have the following qualifications:
• A honors Degree in Statistics; or Quantitative Economics plus a Masters Degree in Human Resource/ or Man power Planning from a recognized university.
• Working experience of at least 5 years in a related area.
