An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Victorian Dual Disability Service (VDDS). The VDDS pursues best practice and innovative service delivery for Victorians accessing specialist mental health services who have a known or suspected dual disability (intellectual disability and mental illness). The clinical activities of the Service are achieved through the provision of primary, secondary and tertiary consultations.
You are a talented and motivated professional, exhibiting exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills as demonstrated in patient examinations and your relationships with colleagues.
You are a natural problem solver with a commitment to continuous improvement, best practice and environmental safety. Your ability to train and mentor QUT/DMU trainees and cardiology registrars will be highly regarded.
To be successful in this role you will be degree qualified with relevant post-graduate studies such as QUT or DMU. You will work in a supportive and encouraging environment with clinical and research specialists and have the opportunity to participate in in-house education meetings that will contribute to your CPD quota.
