The International Education Division is currently accepting applications for a
Director of Operations for an anticipated USAID-funded five-year, $75 million
project in Rwanda to improve reading outcomes in Kinyarwanda for at least 1
mi

project in Rwanda to improve reading outcomes in Kinyarwanda for at least 1

llion children in public government-aided schools by end of grade 3 and to
increase the proportion of students in Grades 1-3 who are able to read
grade-level text with fluency and comprehension. This is a full-time position
with residency in Rwanda. Position Summary: The Director of Operations
is responsible for overseeing the logistical and operational activities, human
resources, procurement, and management of sub-contracts.
S/he will
ensure quality and timely operational support for program activities, and lead
reporting activities for the project. Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with technical leads and Senior Finance Specialist, to monitor
project activity against the contract. Provide advice regarding the
intersection of administrative, logistical and technical work, engaging
appropriate corporate contractual and financial resources for non-routine
issues. Support the development of annual work plans, performance milestone
plans, and associated budgeting. Support the USAID review and approval
process, with close collaboration with the COP.
