RTI International Organizational Capacity Building Advisor Job Vacancy in Botswana

RTI International is seeking an Organizational Development and Capacity Building Advisor for a project that focuses on delivering community-based HIV prevention interventions that target Most-At-Risk Populations (MARPs), defined as sex workers and their clients, mobile male populations, and men who have sex with men. This position will be responsible for providing organizational development support to several civil society organizations currently working with MARPs in Botswana.

Responsibilities:
• Provides technical leadership and oversight of results for technical and organizational capacity building activities.
• Coordinates the process of identifying the most appropriate community based prevention and referral models for MARPS based on a combination of existing successful efforts in Botswana and new pilot approaches based on international best practice
• Responsible for managing CSO performance and implementation of project activities
• Participates in development of work plans and regular reporting on Organizational Development activities
• Responsible for providing technical assistance (TA) in Organizational Development Capacity Building for local implementing partners, including provision of the comprehensive package of HIV prevention services, administration, human resources, financial management, planning, and reporting, and procurement, etc., through the facilitation of training workshops, on the job training, coaching and mentoring and advising on the development of training curriculum and materials. (this list is not exhaustive, and specific TA will vary according to the needs of the local implementing partner).
• Supports knowledge building and sharing at a country and regional level on project achievements and lessons learned
• Leads the development of strategies to assess and strengthen referral systems and linkages among NGOs/CBOs/FBOs serving MARPs and key government counterparts.
• Works with Monitoring and Evaluation team to advises on design and implementation of needs assessments, impact assessments, and baseline surveys to monitor and evaluate the programs are being implemented.
• Supports the Chief of Party and M&E staff in the creation and maintenance of procedures for capturing and publishing disseminated data for monthly, quarterly, and/or annual project reports for internal and/or external usage.
• Works closely with program leaders to ensure the quality assurance and overall integrity of activities, adhering to internal control systems, procedures and mechanisms for program implementation.
• Works closely with Program department at RTI at all stages of implementation and evaluation to ensure that standards and deliverables are met.

Qualifications:
• B.A./B.S. or Masters degree (preferred), preferably in Public Health, Management or another related field;
• A minimum of 6 years of experience providing technical support to similar programs (capacity building and/or civil society strengthening) at national levels, including at least 2 years of work experience in Botswana or Southern Africa Region; applications from Batswana nationals are highly desired.
• Demonstrated technical success working with USAID;
• Experienced with performing diagnostic systems assessments and ability to develop targeted recommendations designed to address weaknesses and enhance organizational sustainability and effectiveness.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of analytical, information and communications technologies and ability to use such technology efficiently.
• Proven ability to establish priorities, identify required resources and utilize and arrange resources accordingly to meet current and future project goals.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting;
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
