Ronald McDonald
House South East Queensland (RMH SEQ) located at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s
Hospital Campus; Herston and at the Mater Hospital South Brisbane is seeking
the services of a full time Front Office Administration Officer.

RMH SEQ provides
accommodation at two locations in Brisbane for regional families of children
with serious illnesses or injuries who are being treated at either the Royal
Children’s hospital or at the Mater Children’s hospital. We also provide
support and accommodation for mothers who have been identified with a high risk
pregnancy.

The successful
applicant will be responsible for the delivery of service to a high standard
whilst working in a caring family environment.

This role requires
an organised individual able to maintain a high degree of professionalism and
confidentiality at all times whilst working closely with the families staying
at RMH  SEQ on a daily basis. As a result of your experience you will have
a well developed understanding of the responsibilities associated with a busy
reception and administration area being able to prioritise work load and the
ability to perform all tasks required in a professional and courteous manner at
all times.

The successful
applicant will possess the following attributes and must address each of the
following criteria in their written applications:

  1. Demonstrated
    extensive  experience in reception or administrative duties providing
    a  high level of customer service
  2. Proficiency
    in the application of computer software for use of customer relationship
    management systems
  3. Demonstrated
    ability to work well under pressure and remain calm, and when necessary to
    solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set
    and procedures not defined, ensuring a satisfactory outcome
  4. Ability
    to provide quality administrative services with a proven ability to manage
    time and resources to achieve specific objectives, determine priorities
    and meet deadlines with a minimum of supervision
  5. High
    level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the
    ability to interact professionally and sensitively with all levels of
    staff, guests  and other stake holders including the general public
  6. A
    proven  ability to work in a team and in an autonomous role whilst
    being able  to adhere  to directives given  by your
    supervisor
  7. Ability
    to work 76 hours per fortnight with flexibility to work shifts on
    weekdays, occasional weekends and public holidays at either of our house
    locations

You will be
responsible for:

  • Being
    the  first point of contact and first impression of RMH SEQ
  • Delivering
    an exceptional professional customer service to all our stake holders
  • Performing
    reception duties in an efficient, professional, respectful and courteous
    manner
  • All
    administration tasks associated with a busy front office in a guest
    accommodation service including the  daily management of house
    guests  and their  accounts and records, money handling, guest
    requests and enquiries
  • Complying
    with and adhering to Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland policies,
    procedures, standards and legislation relevant to the role and work area.

A positive Notice
Blue Card for child related employment is a requirement; however this can be
