Eligibility:
– The successful candidate will have a PhD in a discipline relevant for the focal research topic, a distinguished publication record including publications on connectivity, a track-record of international cooperation, some experience in the supervision of PhD students and the writing of applications.
– The successful candidate should also be interested in science-policy and cooperation with other disciplines.
– Fluency in English in speech and writing is essential, some knowledge of German is of advantage.
– We seek a scientist who is highly motivated to work within a team with a broad range of scientific backgrounds and has an interest both in basic and applied biodiversity research.

Scholarship Description: The position will complement research currently undertaken in the large-integrating EU-project SCALES “Securing the conservation of biodiversity across administrative levels and spatial, temporal, and ecological scales” and link it to the Helmholtz research program “Land use options – Strategies and Adaptation to Global Change”.
