PIH/IMB Monitoring & Evaluation Data Officer Job Vacancy in Rwanda

NGO that has partnered with the Government of Rwanda to strengthen the health
system and support poverty reduction initiatives in rural Rwanda since 2005.

PIH/IMB is seeking outstanding candidates for the following

Position
Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Data Officer     
Reports
to:  Burera
Distrct
Clinical Director
Location:
Burera District    
The
Monitoring & Evaluation Data Officer is responsible for supporting IMB monitoring
and evaluation (M&E) activities taking throughout Burera District. He/She
will conduct data collection activities including health facility surveys, data
quality assessments, auditing of health facility records and registers, and
other data collection activities as directed. He/she will have the opportunity
to participate in  M&E and research trainings. He/she will provide
feedback to PIH and MOH M&E leadership on possible data errors or
challenges in M&E implementation observed. Work will be conducted both at
Butaro Hospital as well as health centers throughout Burera.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct
    data collection activities including health facility surveys, data quality
    assessments, auditing of health facility records and registers, and other data
    collection activities as directed;
  • In
    a timely fashion, enter data for projects and programs as requested by the
    M&E coordinator;
  • Respond
    to questions regarding data quality and modify data as directed;
  • Provide
    feedback on questionnaires, surveys, and other data collection
    instruments;
  • Provide
    M&E support as needed to priority IMB and MOH programs as determined
    by department goals;
  • Support
    MOH M&E activities as directed by PIH M&E leadership, including,
    but not limited to, data quality assessment, performance based financing
    evaluation, supporting HMIS reporting systems, improving data quality;
  • Provide
    feedback to PIH and MOH M&E leadership on possible data errors or
    challenges in M&E implementation observed;
Requirements
for the position:
  • At
    least an A1 degree.
  • Previous
    experience with data use and/or entry
  • Strongly
    preferred: clinical and/or research mental health experience
  • Strong
    interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility
    in job responsibilities and working conditions
  • Fluency
    in English and Kinyarwanda; Knowledge of French is  an advantage
