This is a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of high
performance homes and buildings. The successful candi
date will be exposed to
the world’s leading energy efficiency standard, Passive House. He or she will
support the delivery of client projects through building energy modelling &
assessment, and technical & non-technical research. Intensive training will
be provided with the option of pursuing the Certified Passive House Consultant
qualification.
Job Responsibilities
• Undertake building energy modelling of high performance projects
• Review and assess client project submissions for compliance with the Passive
House Standard and other related international building standards
• Present and discuss findings, results, and issues with clients
• Create summary reports of assessments for clients
• Undertake research on low energy building topics
• Provide support for training delivery
Candidates will display
• Undergraduate or Master’s degree
• Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent Excel skills
• Quick learner
• Self-motivated, proactive, strong desire to learn
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to summarize key information and effectively communicate it (verbally
and in writing) to technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable interacting with people
• Good telephone and email etiquette
• Genuine interest in low energy buildings
• Experience with energy modelling and building energy assessments preferred,
but not required
• Engineering background preferred, but not required
Working Conditions
• Flexible work schedule
• Work primarily from home office, with occasional in-person meetings
• Provide own laptop and telephone service
• A successful internship may lead to a full time position
