Payroll/HR Administrator Job Vacancy in Galway

Job description: The Client:
Our Client is a leading organisation in their industry and is currently looking for a Payroll/HR Administrator for a contract based role In Westport.

Job Responsibilities
• Prepare the weekly and monthly payroll using payroll software, using ROS.
• Complete the PRSI and PAYE monthly payments.
• Prepare Payroll reports for Management and act as a contact point for all staff with regard to their pay.
• Maintaining payroll filing system as required
• Issuing of employment contracts and other HR Admin work.
• To liaise with the Retail Operations Managers to improve the efficiencies of the Payroll/Futura EPOS system.
• Issue P45s, P60s and payslips to staff as required
undertake calculations for Maternity Leave, Sick Leave and Annual Leave.
Monitor staff leave on database and report to line manager on the monthly and weekly figures
• To maintain up to date knowledge of and adhere to all Company Health & Safety procedures, reporting any problem areas to the Human Resource Manager
• To advise senior management on improvements which become apparent to you.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or relevant field with a qualification in or working towards a qualification in HR.
• 2 year experience in a Payroll environment, 2 years in a HR department is desirable but not required
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues and dealing with confidential information.
• The candidate will be flexible and dependable with an excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent consultative, problem solving, team working and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint and prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System
