It’s not just drought. Or famine. Or a bad harvest. A whole host of factors are stopping nearly 1 billion people worldwide from having enough to eat. Oxfam is working with others to build a future where everyone always has enough to eat – and the GROW campaign is at its heart. Putting these plans into action right across the globe, you’ll take it to the next level.
The role Driving the successful delivery of our GROW Campaign in over 40 countries, this is campaign project management on a huge scale. We’ll look to you to develop innovative, engaging strategy, give expert advice and provide strategic leadership to diverse teams of people across many countries. You’ll also put together creative campaign concepts and oversee the production of effective materials, tools and resources.
And because what you do now will have such a big impact on the GROW campaign for years to come, it’s important that you make sure our strategy continues to stay innovative and engaging. That means evaluating the ongoing success of the campaign, communicating necessary changes and keeping everyone pulling in the same direction. Beyond that, you’ll build up and manage relationships with a range of campaign allies – think other NGOs, various agencies and people we want to endorse our campaigns. The breadth of the role is extensive. But then so are the opportunities that go with it.
What we’re looking for Along with the proven ability to develop and deliver effective campaign strategies on a global scale, you’ll have what it takes to successfully lead people and complex projects in a fast-paced, international environment. So you’ll be confident juggling multiple projects, planning ahead, managing budgets and leading and motivating a team. In fact, your project management skills will be second to none. And they’ll be backed up by expert judgement, a well-developed ability to provide creative solutions and strong influencing and communication skills. We’ll expect you to exercise all of them in a range of cultures and working environments, working with many different people, and you’ll need to be willing to travel throughout the year.
About Oxfam A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. It’s not just their problem. It’s ours too. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. Thousands of people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
