Title: Corporate Accountant
Area: Dar Es Salaam
Position Description:
The Corporate Accountant will work closely with retail unit manager and retail
unit accountants to handle multiple retail store accounts. The position will be
based in Quality Center and will report to the Group Finance Manager of Nexus
Consulting Agency. Minimum of a one-year contract
Specific Responsibilities will include
· Review daily transaction entered by Individual accountants ie Review the Day
Book
· Prepare Weekly cash flow reports to Senior management for review
· Prepare Monthly Management reports store wise that has the following
components: Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow statement, Ratio
analysis etc etc
· Prepare Monthly Management report to discuss performance of each store
liquidity wise, operational wise, changes in debtors level, etc etc
· Extract Inventory wise report from QuickBooks and prepare summaries that show
stock age for each stock item to determine which items are fast moving, slow
moving etc and guide management on inventory and future stocks.
· Prepare Monthly Budgets for Incomes and expenses along with cash flow budget
· Liaise with External auditors on preparation of financial statement
· Handle all tax matters
· Liaise with financial controller on variance analysis to explore avenues for
development
· Investigate discrepancies of cash and stock
· Sign off Bank reconciliation reports and stock reconciliation reports
· Authorize all fund transfers to be done between different stores
Qualifications
· Minimum of Advanced Diploma in Accountancy and Finance
· BSC and MSC in Finance and Accountancy
· Experience in Tally and Quick Books
· Minimum of 4 years of working experience at mid-level management position
· Fluent in English, Kiswahili is a plus
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity and
trustworthiness
