The
position works within the Clinical Programs team, who develop and manage stroke
programs aimed at empowering health professionals to reduce the gap between
evidence based stroke care and clinical practice and therefore provide quality
stroke care.

Working
collaboratively with the National Guidelines Coordinator, this role is
responsible for assisting with coordinating the development and maintenance of
clinical guidelines for stroke care in line with the National Health &
Medical Research Council (NHMRC) or other relevant standards for guideline
development. This includes supporting the expert working group members by
coordinating the systematic evidence searches, appraisal process, evidence
table development and all related writing of guideline documents.

Your
background

hold Tertiary qualifications in a health science field (medical, allied health,
research, health promotion, etc.) and have an understanding of guideline
development standards (e.g. NHMRC) and methodology, including systematic review
methodology. Previous experience in developing clinical guidelines or
undertaking systematic reviews is desirable as is knowledge of research design
and evidence based medicine.
