We are currently seeking two wwoofers for the remainder of the season.
Vancouver Island has had one of
the hottest years in history and harvest season
is bountiful and we need assistance in harvesting and preparing our winter beds
(what a delight to grow year round!)
Mossy Banks is a learning Permaculture Farm on Vancouver Island.
We raise Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks, Pigs and Sheep and have two newly
established Food Forests.
Our farm is on Metchosin Peat which grows everything SUBSTANTIALLY. The level
of organic matter is INSANE.
Be here for the fall harvest, the prep for maple syrup production and as well
the property is over 30 acres, only 7 of which are actively farmed and the rest
are ecological reserves with over 14 different landscapes to learn from. This
will also be the time for wild mushroom harvesting – both food and medicinal.
We nickname it Jurassic Farm for a reason…
