Responsibilities
To ensure that all lifting activities are carried out according to the
prevailing safety instructions and legislation as well as in accordance with
DMR 18 regulations as well as the company standards relating to safety and
quality. To follow instructions by competent supervision and management on site
in accordance with the lifting plans required.

Qualifications,
Experience and Attributes
Experience and Attributes
- Code
14 with PDP - The
successful candidate will be in possession with a certificate of
competency that has the following codes of certification, C36 / P, Q, R,
S, T ( specifically for the 650 ton crane operator) - The
successful candidate will be in possession with a certificate of
competency that has the following codes of certification, C35 / Q, R, T (
specifically for the 220 ton crane operator) - 10
years relevant crane operation and lifting experience. - The
candidate will be in possession of an accredited certificate of competency
as per requirements of the relevant legislation. The candidate will have a
proven track record on the same or similar site environment. - A
proven ability to read load charts and perform pre operational checks of
the equipment assigned. The successful candidate will have an in depth
knowledge of crane safety relating to the manufacturers specifications and
requirements. - Perform
Slew Ring Lubrication - Rope
Dressing - Basic
Rigging Level 1 & 2 - Fire
fighting and First Aid training are an added advantage. - Experience
within an SMPP Construction environment is essential. - The
successful applicant will only be appointed after an independent and
accredited crane certification body finds that the candidate meets these
requirements, and this is in the company’s sole discretion
