Reporting to Power
Sector Reform Director
Assist the Director
in providing technical input into the reports submitted by consultants, Assist
the Director in developing the project design, work plans and key deliverables
that are agreed to by the stakeholders involved in the project, Assist the
Director in liaising with project partners on how best to implement the project
as well as recommendat
ions/disseminating from different studies, Analyse all
reports from various consultants and decipher/summarise key
recommendations/issues that need to be implemented/addressed by Project
Partners, Follow up on the implementation of the key recommendations/issues by
Project Partners and ensure that project partners are engaged In reform and
institutional strengthening efforts, Report progress to the Director of PSRP of
main progress made in the implementation of key recommendations by consultants,
Monitor the work of consultants to ensure that all deliverables are submitted
on time, are of the expected quality and paid on time, Facilitate and
coordinate the needs of various stakeholders in the project to ensure that the
project design and implementation reflects stakeholders’ needs and perspectives
from the public, private and local communities, Collaborate with all
directorates within the overall project to ensure that all issues are taken
onboard, Assist in the procurement for all consultants required fro the
project, Review comments and complaints from project partners and consultants
and recommend actions to resolve problems, Organise and manages periodic
sessions for public consultation on PSRP issues, Regularly submit information
on Project progress to management and any directorate that need such
information, Provide an oversight role in the management and implementation of
Project Cooperation Agreements (PCAs) with project partners, Other tasks and
responsibilities as requested by the Director
A Masters Degree in
Business Administration, Economics, Project Finance, Project Planning and
Development
Minimum of 10 yrs
working in a Govt dept, Minimum of 5 yrs in project management, Minimum of 5
yrs working with development partners, Minimum of 5 yrs working on policy
reform/institutional strengthening efforts, Experience working in the energy
sector/utilities/Govt Owned Enterprises would be an added advantage, Good
knowledge of computer usage
