Ikirezi Natural
Products, a growing agri-processing business, is seeking to hire an exceptional
candidate capable of growing into the role of Director of Operations and
supporting the management team with their ambitious growth plans.
and mentoring will be provided by an external advisor with international
experience in operational management.
Background: Ikirezi Natural Product’s
five year strategic plan includes a rapid expansion of the production of
essential oils, significantly increasing all aspects of its triple bottom line
objectives (social, environmental, financial). More information on Ikirezi can

In parallel, the
Ikirezi management team are focussed on continually improving production
parameters, improving planning of production activities, increasing efficiency,
ensuring on-time, on-budget cultivation of new land, and strengthening farmer
supervision and support.
Duties
work as part of the management team to implement the rapid expansion plan,
continually improve operational performance and achieve Ikirezi’s strategic
objectives.
Personal

Desire to progress
rapidly to a director level of responsibility.
A team player with
the ability to inspire, motivate and manage production managers.
Ability to rapidly
develop a deep understanding of agricultural concepts, logistics demands,
financial factors and business drivers.
A hands-on manager
able to coach production managers and technicians in farmer engagement, supervision
and support.
Highly numerate with
the ability to simplify processes and solve problems.
Desired
Skills and Experience (training will be provided where required):
Experience in a
commercial environment, utilising limited resources to balance timescales,
efficiency and quality.
Project and team
management experience including delivering to deadlines and within budgets.
Excel proficiency
including the creation of models (e.g. financial models).
Financial and
management reporting including Profit and Loss, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet.
An understanding of
strategic planning and how to connect strategic objectives to milestones and
key performance indicators.
Experience in agricultural
extension, and/or knowledge of optimal agricultural processes and practices
