To be successful in your home-based business, daily marketing is a must. This involve all the promotional efforts required to create of the attention of your customers towards your products and services. This should be done as much as 50 to 75 percent of the business time for start ups. Talk about your business always anywhere you fine yourself. You may have some set out time for your marketing but in everything you do, try as much as possible to talk about your business.
Brand Your Business
Create a strong brand for your business which will include your name, logo, promotional materials (business cards, brochures, stationery), your advertising and publicity methods, your business mission and inherent value to your customers. Ensure that this brand is strong enough for your customer to remember you whenever they need products and services like yours.
Use a Marketing Mix
In creating awareness of your products and services, ensure to use different means in publicizing your products and services to ensure that it reached your target audience. Make maximum use of a combination of advertising (paid ads) and publicity (media coverage) to attract potential customers.
Launch A Well-Written Press Release
As a very viable tool for marketing, launch a well-written press release about your business in publications that you know are well-read by your target customers or prospect. This will create a formal picture in their mind concerning your products and services.
Monitor Your Marketing
Continuously monitor your means of marketing and evaluate those that are generating marketing leads for your business and eliminate those that are not very effective to avoid unnecessary spending. Also ensure that you look out for feedback from your customers on your marketing methods.
