Head of Knowledge & Information
Central London
£60,000 – £80,000 per annum + benefits
The National Audit Office (NAO) is at the heart of the drive for cost effective public services. Independent of government, the NAO scrutinises public spending on behalf of Parliament, helping it to hold government departments to account and helping public service managers to improve performance and service delivery. We aim to do this by developing and applying our knowledge to deliver high performance and increase our influence. Crucial to our success is our ability to secure the maximum value from our extensive and specialist knowledge. We will do this by creating the processes, infrastructure and culture to enable us to share what we know with each other, with our clients and with the wider public sector. The post-holder will play a key role in making this happen.
Reporting to the Director of Strategy, Knowledge and Communications, the post-holder will develop, implement and embed the NAO’s knowledge and information strategies. This will involve championing a knowledge-sharing culture and making positive changes that support our audit staff.
The post-holder will also oversee work on our information systems, including our intranet.
To be successful in this role you will have an excellent track-record in developing and delivering knowledge management and knowledge sharing initiatives which contribute clearly to business success, as well as a good understanding of information management. You will be able to develop strategic plans and to drive progress through strong project management, team leadership and people management skills. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels to gain their endorsement will be crucial, as will a passion for customer service.
If you think you can deliver then we want to hear from you.
