Working for one of Australia’s Big 4 Banks, this is a rare opportunity to work
for a well known and respected organisation.
Your new role
Due to internal promotion they currently have a requirement for a technically
skilled client focused Technical Support Officer to provide on-site technical
support to an enterprise size user base. This role is a contract basis but has
the opportunity to go permanent.
You will be responsible for providing over the phone technical support to a
large client base regarding the trading platforms and system issues. You will
also provide daily support to the internal users in relation to any
Hardware/Software system issues. You will have 1+ years experience in a busy
Service desk or user facing Desk side support role with proven experience
troubleshooting faults to a large external user base via phone and email.
Ideally you will have provided technical support to the following: Windows SOE,
Microsoft Office Suite, Bespoke Applications, Hardware, Software, iPad, Iphone
and IT peripherals. You will respond to high priority break fixes or trade
platform issues and have a good technical understanding of LAN and WI-FI as
well as being able to coach or demonstrate technologies to non technical users
in a simple informative manner.
What you’ll need to succeed
Due to the business critical nature of the role exemplary communication is paramount
and the ability to work in a highly pressured environment is crucial.
Candidates that are able to demonstrate high levels of customer service and can
highlight their success while supporting a dynamic user base would see their
application fast tracked. A solid understanding of the escalation process and
ability to prioritise your own workload are also key to success in this
position.
The role will suit a confident, well presented, customer service focused IT
Support professional who is seeking the next step in their career. You will
have previous experience in a Customer Service Role/IT Support role as well as
IT Qualifications. Someone who has a real interest in working within the
financial/trade sector would view this as an ideal opportunity to gain valuable
experience within the industry.
