primary objectives of the cooperation between the Government of Rwanda and the
Federal Republic of Germany are poverty reduction and promotion of sustainable
development. To achieve these objectives, GIZ Rwanda is mainly active in the
sectors of Decentralization and Good Governance, Economie Development and
Employment Promotion.

(short: Eco-Emploi) we are searching for a Communication Expert

Duties and Responsibilities
- Revise the Eco-Emploi communication concept
- Plan and coordinate activities to implement
the communication concept and monitor the results - Organize and coordinate contracting and
supervision of communication service providers - Write articles and produce other publications
- Assure the quality of products, produced by
Eco-Emploi Program in English, Kinyarwanda and French
All activities will be implemented in close
cooperation with the Rwandan Partner Institutions

Qualifications and Competencies
- University degree or comparable training in
journalism, PR or communication - At least 5 years professional experience in
the field of communication (media production and PR, editorial work,
journalism, corporate communication) and two years with different types of
media: Print, Radio, TV and Internet - Excellent written and oral knowledge of
English, good knowledge of French and Kinyarwanda. Proven knowledge of
German is an asset - Excellent verbal and written communication
skills and a confident journalistic style (evidenced e.g. by work samples) - Excellent knowledge of the Rwandan Media
environment - Very good working knowledge of and proven
experience in ICT and standard software, DTP, Internet, CMS, Social Media,
etc.. Video-editing is an asset - Good knowledge of the context of economic and
employment promotion in Rwanda - Motivated and ready to work in an
international context and motivated team
