Children

is seeking a Retail
Account Executive
(internally known as Director, Account
Executive, Retail) to join its Partner Relations Team.

Reporting to the
Director, Partnerships the Retail Account Executive is accountable for
maintaining the health and success of partners with a key focus on partner
retention and re-engagement, growth/expansion and also escalation to leadership
of any new opportunities or risks associated with partners.

There is a three (3)
month probationary period, upon reaching the three (3) month period, all staff
members are offered a health plan including dental and Employee Assistance
Program. The position is based out of Free the Children’s office in Toronto
(233 Carlton Street).

Responsibilities:

  • Solid
    relationship management and donor stewardship of retail & consumer
    packaged goods partners
  • Proactively
    seek and identify partnership growth opportunities
  • Re-engagement
    of partnerships in line with contract dates
  • Responsible
    for driving matrix goals for cross sell opportunities across the group of
    organizations
  • Represent
    Free The Children and the organization’s priorities to corporate partners
    and represents the partners’ needs and interests to Free The Children
    departments internally
  • Work
    closely with leadership and executive team on larger partnerships
  • Execute
    on strategies that drive long-term partner engagement
  • Information
    management and project management of complex multi-year partnership
    commitments
  • Track
    and meet all partnership deliverables and milestones
  • Presentation
    and strategy preparation for partners
  • Honouring
    partner stakeholders

Skills &
Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary
    Degree or Certificate in related field (ex. business, marketing,
    communications, project management etc.)
  • 3-5
    years’ experience in a retail sales or account management role
  • Experience
    with the consultative sales process
  • Demonstrated
    ability to influence senior decision makers in organizations and to
    develop long term relationships
  • Demonstrate
    sound knowledge of international development, youth empowerment and trends
    in corporate social responsibility, corporate philanthropy and cause
    marketing
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills and communication skills in all internal and external
    relations
  • Strong
    organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
    within tight deadlines
