Your responsibilities will include:
* Assists Controller and Vice President of Finance in preparing monthly financial statements for Mackie Group of Companies and prepares month end reporting packages
* Examines accounting records and prepares financial reports for Mackie Group of Companies
* Prepares selected month end journal entries and accruals
* Enters and posts general ledger transactions
* Reviews and reconciles selected balance sheet accounts
* Prepares financial forecasts and budgets based on management assumptions
* Prepares any bank reporting on monthly basis including any special requests / information made by bank
* Prepares financial analysis and reporting as request by management
* Provides guidance and information to General Managers, Divisional Managers & executive regarding financial information
* Cross train in various areas in the Finance Team to assist with workload and / or vacation coverage
* Performs other duties as required
Your qualifications will include:
* CMA / CGA Preferred
* 3+ Years Accounting / Finance with 2 years as Financial Analyst (or similar role)
* Word, Advanced Excel, Accounting Software
* Great Plains and FRX report writing an asset
* In-depth knowledge of general accounting practices, analysis and accepted accounting principles
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
