juu Teach English
Teaching in
the Masai Areas
is a unique experience in itself. Volunteers work in community schools and
teach subjects such as English, Maths, General knowledge, Geography and
Sciences. The schools in Tanzania are open for the following months/terms –
January –March, May-July and Sep – Nov. During the breaks in between volunteers
teach children in the extra classes and tutorials.
The project is
highly recommended for volunteers who love working outdoors and are looking to
get an experience of the life of the traditional Masai people.
SCHOOL TERMS
2013
- 1st
Term: 7th January – 12th April - Mid-term
25th February – 7th March - 2nd
Term: 6th May – 9th August - 3rd
Term: 2nd Sep – 15th November
Please note that
there may be a difference of a few days with different schools, with one month
holiday breaks for April, August and December. These projects close on 20th
December 2013 and re-open on the 6th January 2014.
