- Manage
the rosters, resources, staff and analyzing detailed information. - Coordinate
rostering ensuring adequate skill mix and fairness in distribution of
shift allocation. - Ensure
nursing participation in ward rounds as required. - Follow-up
of prescribed investigations, ensuring completion and screening of results
by relevant Doctor. - Ensure
a timely process for admissions and discharges in co-operation with
multidisciplinary team. - Oversee
the performance of unit staff in liaison with the appropriate departmental
head. - Co-ordinate
the availability of physical resources within the unit. - Ensure
all appropriate items and services used by each patient are charged. - Liaise
/ Engage with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality customer
care/outcomes. - Request
new and / or replacement equipment.

SPECIFICATION
- He/She
have a diploma ( A1) in Nursing/Midwifery - He/She
should have a minimum of 5 years of working experience especially in
hospital Paediatric will be an added advantage - Knowledge
of computer skills. - Registration
with National Council of Nurses and Midwives. - Effective
communication skills - Committed
to delivery of Customer focused health care - Teaching
& management skills is an added advantage - Carry
out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment - Accept
accountability and responsibility for own actions within nursing practice - Acts
to enhance the professional development of self and others - Initiates,
carrying therapeutic and effective interpersonal relationship - Practices
in accordance with the professional’s code of ethics
