- Civil Development Engineer – Local Government

from suitably qualified civil engineers who are seeking a temporary role for
the next six months. Working as a Civil Development Engineer, reporting
to the Manager of Development & Subdivisions you will be tasked with
performing a pivotal role in providing technical guidance and advice in
relation to development proposals and town planning permit applications.
As a senior member of staff you will be expected to provide advice, assessment
and guidance to a range of stakeholders in relation to development applications
ensuring plans meet statutory requirements whilst providing a solution focused
approach. As the Civil Development Engineer you will be required to provide
assistance on matters associated with council’s infrastructure and assets
including; drainage tappings, legal point of discharge, road openings and
vehicle crossings.
Requirements include:
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
• Previous experience working within a similar role within local government
• Strong consultation skills
• Victorian driving licence
