C.N.H Pickering, a 233-bed long-term care home located in Pickering, Ontario is currently recruiting a
Nutrition Manager.
The Nutrition Manager plans, organizes, directs and supervises all aspects of the Dietary Department’s operation and services within the Home. The individual is responsible for ensuring that the home is in compliance with all Ministry and Public Health standards and requirement including nutritional standards, high quality standards of dietary cleanliness and sanitation, food processing and operational efficiency in accordance with legislation requirements and operates within budgetary constraints.
The candidate must be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or a Registered Dietitian, and have completed a recognized food services course. Being a member of the Ontario Nutrition Managers Association is an asset. The candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years experience in food service management, with one (1) year in Long Term Care. The candidate must have strong human resources and leadership skills, and preferably have worked in a unionized environment. The candidate will also have knowledge of computers, and a sound knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide and understanding of therapeutic diets and nutritional management.
