Catholic Relief Service is seeking for
a SeniorBehavior Change CommunicationOfficer for the Integrated
Nutrition and WASH Activity
(INWA),  a five-year, USAID-funded
initiative. The Senior Behavior Change Communication Officer will be
responsible for providing cross-cutting guidance and technical assistance to
all INWA Program Staff regarding social behavior change communication strategy,
implementation, and evaluation. S/he will serve as the resource person for BCC
and will ac

company districts and LCSOs to develop tools to deliver key behavior
change messages to identified target populations for each area of the project.

The successful candidate will at
minimum have the following Qualifications, Skills and abilities:
  • Bachelor’s
    degree or higher in public health, communication, or another field related
    to international development.
  • At
    least five years of experience working in international development in the
    area of public health, nutrition, gender, MEAL or similar domains
  • Previous
    experience in developing and carrying out behavior change communication
    activities in development projects.
  • Previous
    experience in the conception and development of approaches and appropriate
    tools for delivering behavior change messages.
  • Previous
    experience working with participatory methods.
  • Demonstrated
    results in achieving positive health-related behavior change.
  • Strong
    leader and a team player, with the ability to collaborate with multiple
    project staff in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent
    oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with people,
    good judgment and commitment to CRS’ mission.
  • Ability
    to transfer knowledge to people with a variety of interests and
    educational backgrounds through both formal and informal training.
  • Prior
    experience working with local partner organizations in capacity
    strengthening and accompaniment is preferred.
  • Willingness
    to travel to rural project districts around the country.
  • Fluent
    English and French, spoken and written required.
  • Proficient
    user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Rwandannationality.
