The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is striving to make Every Building
Greener. We are seeking a dynamic
green business professional as:
Regional Director – Alberta Chapter
(Edmonton or Calgary)
CaGBC – Alberta Chapter is a powerful force in the advancement of sustainable
green building in the Alberta market. We are looking for an experienced
environmental professional with demonstrated skills in leadership, stakeholder
engagement, advocacy, strategic planning and operational execution to lead the
province’s continued growth and expansion of green building and green building
education. Working with the Chapter Leadership Board and National staff, the
key responsibilities of the Regional Director are:
• Chapter Planning and Management – develop and execute an annual plan and
budget in alignment with the nationwide organization’s strategic plan and the
Chapter’s strategic goals and objectives;
• Chapter Leadership Development and Support – act as a professional advisor to
the Chapter Leadership Board in all phases of Leadership Board development;
responsible for the organization and management of all Chapter Leadership Board
meetings and operations; and, fulfill a leadership role to the Chapter’s
Emerging Green Builders (EGB’s).
• Program and Sponsorship – promote and deliver Chapter programs, events and
fund-raising activities; represent the Chapter at events related to high
performing green buildings; and, solicit sponsorship and manage sponsorship
relations.
• Communications, Member Relations and Advocacy – manage and execute regional
marketing, communications and advocacy programs that promote and advance green
building; act as spokesperson and representative of the Chapter to key
stakeholders and community leaders

If you have a post-secondary degree relevant to the position; and five to seven
years of progressive management experience; knowledge of LEED and the green
building industry in Alberta; excellent skills in communication; and, have
