1.Laboratory Technologist (Research) – Full time on
contract of 1 year (Renewable)
1.1.Position Purpose
Primary Purpose will be to carry out molecular
microbiologic essays on specimens, submitted as part of a clinical research
studies based in Gaborone.
1.2.Qualifications
•Bachelor’s or MLT degree in laboratory/medical
technology or related biomedical science is required.
1.3.Experience
•2 years experience working as a laboratory medical
or research technologist with experience in performing basic molecular and/or
microbiologic essays.
•Level IV English (fluent both written and spoken)
•Must have basic concepts and procedures of medical
technology with specialized knowledge of molecular assays (ie real time PCR)
•Ability to operate and calibrate laboratory
instruments and accurately enter laboratory data into computerized databases is
required.
