Location: Liwonde National Park, Malawi, Africa

This conservation project carries out field research on bats and
biodiversity and conducts community questionnaires and engagement in
local surrounding communities. The project is currently seeking an
experienced field research assistant who will be responsible for
assisting in all aspects of field research work around field sites.

The post offers an excellent opportunity for career development for a
researcher with quantitative skills

who is interested in applied
conservation biology, bats and human-wildlife conflict. There are
opportunities for MSc and PhD studies for the right candidates.

The research camp is located in a wilderness safaris lodge within a
National Park. The park harbours an abundant wildlife population
including elephant, reedbuck, waterbuck and sable, hippo, buffalo,
zebra, roan, eland and black rhino. Living in camp you will be on
permanent safari, with regular visits to camp by elephants, hippos,
warthogs and monkey.

The project will cover all work related accommodation (safari tent on
wooden platform) and travel costs including airport transfers. There
may be a possibility of a stipend for the right candidate.
