Are you hardworking,
organised, love a challenge and most of all looking for a great start in
journalism?
The Central and
North Burnett Times is looking for a grade 1a journalist who will be
responsible for covering news and events, taking photos and shooting video for
this paper’s print, digital and social media platforms.
You will be one of
four reporters contributing to this
weekly publication and website, however,
you will be the only reporter based in our Monto office.
The ideal candidate
will possess a great news sense, strong writing skills, creative photographic
experience, a keen interest in the online space and a proven ability to
communicate with people within a vast array of situations.
This position
requires someone with exceptional time management skills and the ability to
motivate themselves.
We are looking for
someone with tertiary qualifications and who has had work experience writing
for a newspaper, or a similar print publication, and can demonstrate an ability
to work with, and meet strict deadlines.

Weekend work is
required as is a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
