ARK Schools is an education charity established to create a network of outstanding inner-city academies that radically improve the life chances of their pupils. With eleven academies currently open (and more in development) ARK Schools is raising aspirations and attainment for pupils in London, Portsmouth and Birmingham.
If you are a proactive and driven fundraiser with a proven track record, excellent and persuasive writing skills and a commitment to improving opportunities for disadvantaged children, this is the job for you. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who will play a key role in building fundraising capacity in our academies, and writing and editing proposals to corporations, trusts and foundations. The post holder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and in close collaboration with staff across ARK Schools and our academies to identify and pursue new sources of funding for our network-wide education programmes as well as for our individual academies.

Our ideal candidate will:
• be an passionate advocate and ambassador for the organisation
• be qualified to degree level or above
• have the ability to write persuasively, clearly, concisely and accurately
• preferably have previous experience within the education, fundraising or charity sector
• preferably have specific experience using Raiser’s Edge
• be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and exacting standards
