for Disability (AFFORD) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides
employment, training, accommodation, day program and respite services to over
2000 people with a disability across the Greater Western Sydney area.
AFFORD’s Guildford
Day Program is
currently seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced Lifestyle
Assistant with wood working skills and experience on a casual.
These role would be suited to
those with a genuine desire to promote the independence and inclusion in
society of people with disability, as well as a desire to support
individuals to have a voice, choice, and exercise control over their own lives
to achieve their individual goals.

willingness to learn and thrive on challenges this is the role for you.
Essential Criteria:
- Genuine interest in working with people with a
disability - Strong administrative skills
- Skills and experience in wood working
- To be able to follow and implement individual service
plans, healthcare and positive behaviour support plans - Experience in working with customers who have complex
and challenging support needs is essential - Ability to work as part of a team and effective
communication skills - Previous experience completing daily notes, incident
reports, case notes and other administration - Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current , unrestricted NSW Driver’s License
- A positive, enthusiastic and can do attitude
