The Adelaide Oval
Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA) is the organisation responsible for the
management of the redeveloped Adelaide Oval precinct and is a joint venture
between football (South Australian National Football League) and cricket (South
Australian Cricket Association). In addition to running the stadium, AOSMA
is responsible for the delivery of a tourism program including Adelaide Oval
Tours, the newly launched Commonwealth Bank RoofClimb as well as what is
believed to be the world’s only fine dining restaurant within a sports stadium
– Hill of Grace Restaurant.
As well as managing
a busy function and event business at Adelaide Oval, AOSMA also oversees the
hospitality services for a number of off-site venues including Titanium
Security Arena, Ngeringa Cultural Centre and Monarto Zoo and provides staffing
solutions for large scale events such as Clipsal 500.
Security
Services Officer
The Security
Services Officer will work with the Security Team to ensure that staff and
visitors are provided with a comprehensive security service that enables a safe
and secure environment.
A 24-hour security
control room is in place at the Adelaide Oval as well as a state of the art
CCTV and access control system running every day of the year.
Reporting directly
to the Security Manager, the Security Services Officer will ensure the effective
daily operation of the security control room and assist with coordinating the
security services provider as required to operate effectively on major event
days. This position will also perform a range of service functions including
contractor management, reporting WHS matters, issuing staff and visitor ID
cards and assisting other departments as required.
As Security Services
Officer, your key responsibilities will be:
- Staffing
the security control room and ensuring the effective daily operation of
all Security Systems including CCTV, Access Control and Fire Panel
requirements - Carrying
out internal and external patrols of the premises, checking doors and
locks, identifying maintenance issues, potential breaches of security or
unusual occurrences - Respond
to emergency codes and procedures as directed - Being
the emergency services point of contact in the absence of the Security
Manager and Senior Security Supervisor - Being
the first point of contact for WHS incident reporting - Providing
first aid response when required - Managing
internal and external customer requests and ensuring all tasks are
allocated correctly and completed within the required time frame - Facilitating
the contractor management process - Conducting
routine security administration including the issue of staff and visitor
ID cards - Ensuring
Loss Prevention protocols are effective and implemented.
Prerequisites
To be successful in
this role, you will possess:
- Valid
South Australian Security and Investigations License - Current
Provide First Aid Certificate (formerly Senior First Aid) - Approved
Crowd Controller for premises licensed under the Liquor Licensing Act - Demonstrated
experience in the management of a Control Room operation - Proven
experience in managing Access Control, CCTV and Key Management Systems - Knowledge
of security alarm systems, including access / egress, building management
systems - Experience
with Contractor Management and Compliance - Demonstrated
skills in incident report writing and an ability to collate shift reports - Experience
working large events and dealing with the general public - Experience
working effectively as part of a team - Demonstrated
computer literacy skills - The
ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a broad range of
demographics including equipment hirers, concert promoters, sporting
bodies etc.
Due to the nature of
this role, you will be required to provide or be willing to submit for a
National Police Clearance or Crim Trac National Criminal History Check,
including Working with Children check.
The successful
candidate will require availability and flexibility to accommodate variable
start and finish times across a 7 day rotating roster, including days, night,
weekends and public holidays.
