successful candidate will have the following:

- Advanced
Clinical knowledge and experience in Maternal and Child Health in order to
provide effective telephone based clinical support and
advice - Ability
to deliver a flexible and innovative telephone based Maternal and Child
Health Service. - Intermediate
computer skills - Highly
developed telephone based Maternal and Child Health clinical
assessment, support and advice skills - Extensive
knowledge of National Maternal and Child Health Programs and an
understanding of current practices, theories and values. - Administrative
skills to enable accurate recording of statistical data and reporting,
compliant with both internal organisational and contractual requirements. - Strong
negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills - Proven
ability to contribute to and, work as part of a dynamic team in addition
to operating independently - Excellent
organisational and time management skills and ability to work within
limited time frames - Awareness
of the diverse social, cultural and religious backgrounds, of children and
families. - Minimum
two years experience. (Further consideration based on individual
applicant’s previous experience) - Ability
to operate effectively in an environment of change and continuous
improvement - Possesses
a well developed ability to manage priorities and work within limited time
frames. - Ability
to refer to appropriated peer support organisations - Ability
to efficiently triage call types, that are required to be redirected to,
the national telephone Nurse Triage services, or relevant
telephone based counselling services.
Your
duties will involve the following:

- Maintain
accurate electronic records and statistical data in a secure and
confidential manner. - Provides
effective telephone based MACH clinical nursing advice and support from a
clinical “wellness based” framework. - Monitors
and evaluates current trends in nursing practice, and participates in
research specific to maternal and child health services as required. - Records
data and provides reports as requested - Embraces
contemporary video conferencing capabilities to enhance clinical service
provision - Regularly
attend and participate in team meetings.
Qualifications:
Registered
Nurse / Midwife, with Post Graduate Maternal and Child Health qualifications.
Nurse / Midwife, with Post Graduate Maternal and Child Health qualifications.
Based at our
Northern Office in Bundoora.
