The
marketing manager will be responsible for generating high volumes of customers
and driving the scale up of marketing efforts across Kigali. To accomplish
these goals, the marketing manager will work with local government,
advertising, and community based partners to implement methods that are
customer generating. The marketing manager will experiment with a range of
low-touch marketing options, demonstrate their success, and come up with a plan
(financial and operational) to scale and sustain them.

- Increase pit emptying sales via strategic
branding and development of relevant materials - Identify and implement branding activities
within different community networks and channels - Train and manage a team of marketing agents
to carry out marketing activities at the local community level - Ensure production and distribution of
marketing materials - Track, monitor, and report marketing KPIs
to project manager

- Use available research and usage data to
develop and implement effective customer recruitment strategies - Identify and effectively address challenges
with current marketing approach - Develop a successful, standardized, and
comprehensive system of messaging/marketing for salespeople - Develop and monitor budgets for marketing
activities and evaluate long term potential and sustainability of
different activities - Support day to day operations of the
marketing agents to ensure that marketing activities are successfully
carried out
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in marketing or business
related discipline - Proven experience in designing and
implementing consumer marketing & branding activities - Proven experience in developing marketing
strategies for low income customer bases - Willingness to attend pit latrine empties
in order to gain strong understanding of the service, business model, and
customer type - Excellent verbal and written communication
skills - English and Kinyarwanda
- Ability to analyze data, develop
presentations, and routine reports - Good understanding of the marketing
channels available in Kigali
