Program Coordinator – F & E focus ( 1 yr contract
renewable/Machinga)
To ensure the effective implementation of the trachoma
facial cleanliness and environmental improvement activities and manage the
performance of project tasks and activities in coordination with District
Council
Develop and ensure the use of appropriate techniques and materials for F&E
promotion and training, Provide technical support training and capacity to the
district local govt, Manage the program budget through the passing of
timely orders, the preparation of monthly forecasts and the monitoring of
expenditure, Track the progress of activities, ensure the collecting of program
indicators and provide on-time internal status reports and external donor
reports, Ensure that all data and information is updated well organised and
easily accessible and that lessons learnt and best practice are capitalised,
Coordinate with the partners to ensure a common approach, synergy and sharing
of information, Represent Heart to Heart Foundation externally and
collaborate/coordinate with local authorities, counterparts, partners and
stakeholders at district level, Analyse and report on the evolving program
needs and provide clear recommendations for interventions, Develop
appropriate targeting criteria and mechanisms to ensure the needs of identified
vulnerable groups are met, Participate in the development of new proposals and
the annual country strategy
Minimum of a Degree in Environmental Health, Water Engineering, Water Resources
Management or a related technical field, At least 4 yrs progressively
responsible professional work experience at the national level in rural water
and sanitation programs preferably related to community based rural development
work, The ability to cultivate key relationships to influence, persuade and
build the confidence of partners and stakeholders, Demonstrated experience in
the field of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Education, Good community
participatory skills, Experience in networking is necessary, Experience in
using Microsoft Office, Excellent in report writing, Excellent communication
and human relations skills, Excellent written and spoken command of English and
Chichewa, Able to work with minimum supervision
Office based with some travel to the field (30% field work), On call: When
called upon
