Organization: Holly Ray Farms
Location: Stirling, north of Belleville / west of Peterborough, Ontario
Holly Ray Farms (formerly Hilltop Pastures) is an organic mixed farm business,
located just outside of Stirling, Ontario. Owners
, Lara and Jamie were
previously operating an organic farm business near Creemore, Ontario.
We are looking for 3 interns for our 2016 season. A preference for one couple
based on our accomodations.
Season: May 1st – Oct. 31st, 2016
We are looking for hard working fun energetic people who want to learn about
organic farming. You will learn how to farm from seedling stage to
harvest/closing down a season.
We have a large CSA membership and sell to restaurants in Toronto and
Belleville. Holly Ray Farms is a 3 acre market garden with laying hens, pigs
and ducks. We have plans to expand into beekeeping for 2016.
Interns will work under our farm manager. The days are long but rewarding and
it’s a great lifestyle for the right candidate. All interns recieve
accomodations, food that is available on the farm and $100 stipend per week.
Days off are worked into the season based on the demands of the farm.
