We currently produce a variety of vegetables, micro greens, greens, fruit and
poultry in the fields and greenhouses of our 50 acre farm for our CSA, Farmers’
Markets and local wholesale customers.
This year we are offering 2 internship positions for the 2016 season from May
to the end of October. The internship will focus on providing practical
experience and training in all aspects of CSA production and management.
The work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with workdays generally
lasting from 7 am to 5 pm with a 2-hour lunch period. There is the possibility
of job placement at the end of the internship.
Applicants for these internship positions should have at least some gardening
experience, be physically fit and capable of the manual labor inherent to
farming as well as being able to use basic farm equipment. They should also be
business savvy with excellent customer service and communication skills. They
should have detailed observation and strong problem solving skills. A valid
driver’s license is required.

• Harvesting
• Harvesting for peak quality
• Calculating harvest needs
• Washing & Packing
• Handling and storage of produce to maintain freshness and quality
• Assembling weekly CSA baskets
• Delivering wholesale orders (Ottawa / Vankleek Hill)
• Layer Hens
• Feeding and watering chickens
• Collecting, cleaning & packing eggs
• Managing pastured chickens
• Hosting farm visits and tours
Interns will also have the option of managing booths at local Farmers’ Markets
on commission (% of daily sales) to make money during their internship.

• 40 hrs a week of work, with flexible hours (starting a little earlier or
finishing a little later weather depending)
• Preparing 4 meals per week for the crew (breakfast, lunch or dinner)
• Participating and contributing to house cleaning and maintaining general
cleanliness of house and shared spaces (indoor/outdoor)
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and well ordered work environment
