1. Research: In setting of any business, a market research is important to know what is already in the market, where it is being sold, how it is being sold, to whom it is being sold and at what price it is being sold. This is very important before jumping the guns into production.
2. Dedication: Being dedicated to your business makes it easy to achieve success. Do something everyday to move your business forward even if it is not running at the speed you have expected it to go.
3. Determination: The business environment is very challenging, so do not expect to break any speed records in achieving profitability in your business or getting it into the top lists of your expected customers or clients. A little determination and hard work is required. Remember, if it sound too good to be true, avoid it.
4. Altitude: Have a great attitude towards your business. Refuse to see the obstacles lined up to bring your business to ruin and concentrate on the pathways to success. If you believe in your line of business, pursue it with all determinations even when there are some presence of some initial setbacks.
5. Integrity: Integrity is defined as a measure of character and competence. In order to be successful, show a good sense of character and competence in your business. Never, never compromise on standards and quality even if they promised higher returns. They will only help you in the short term and destroy your business as soon as your customers or clients discover.
6. Discipline: The world naturally tend towards people who are dedicated to their business. It brings you in sync with the right people and shows that you can be trusted, so people will naturally want to do business with you. A business you are passionate about you can endure even when the returns are not to the extend you had expected.

This will afford you the opportunity to learn from the errors committed by others and avoid them. Remember that there are some errors when committed by you at the initial stage of your business can kill your dreams for a successful business.
