Wheller Gardens is seeking an experienced, energetic, compassionate and
reliable Personal Carer. The successful applicant will be required to provide
high quality services in the provision of catering, cleaning and personal care
to the premises and residents. You will have a genuine desire to make a
differ
ence in the lives of our elders as well as an understanding of Eden and
person centred care. This is a permanent part time role to be rostered 16
hours per fortnight with availability required for morning, afternoon and night
duty shifts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- To work as part of a team to provide catering,
cleaning and personal care in a home like environment for residents, their
family and friends. - To assist residents to attain and maintain their
optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy and quality of life. - To report to Nurse Manager, RN, and/or
Supervisor. - To recognise health and environmental hazards and
be proactive in corrective action. - To contribute to the assessment process of
residents including documentation. - To be an active participant in continuous quality
improvement environment. - To participate in Workplace Health and Safety,
infection control and training as required.
