RESPONSIBILITIES
/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

·
Be Production
Engineer responsible for an assigned part of the manufacturing process;

·
Project
Manage changes using the rel

evant methodology (PSM, IS-GDP, DPV);

·
Lead
and coordinate cross functional teams;

·
Update
and maintain assembly instructions

·
Provide manufacturing
line support;

·
Implement
product changes in tooling, equipment and education;

·
Use
value analysis studies to raise efficiency, improve safety standards, reduce
employee fatigue;

·
Improve
quality and costs in area of responsibility;

·
Implement
design changes;

·
Support
the implementation of Volvo Production System within the department (usage of
tools and techniques such as 5S, VSM, RCA and CI);

REQUIREMENTS
FOR THE ROLE:

·
Degree
or Associate Diploma (in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering)
OR relevant trade certificate and/or extensive assembly / production
engineering experience;

·
Sound
knowledge of Mack/Volvo product would be well regarded;

·
Tertiary
education in Project Management would be well regarded)

·
Good
organisational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks;

·
Good
communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels;

·
Sound
computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office;
