Background
Urunana
Development Communication is a fully registered Non Government Organization
(NGO) specialized in development communication strategies focusing mainly at
improving health and social welfare of the Rwandan population using the
behaviour and social change communication approach. The NGO was started in 2004
and obtained its legal status (legal entity) as a not-for-profit Non Government

limited to; production of radio drama series (Urunana soap opera and other
serial drama), production of radio spots and sketches, production of TV spots,
production of TV drama series, Production of community skits, organizing and
conducting community outreach drama shows.
The
organization implements the Urunana DC SBCC program which is currently funded
mainly by development partners for implementation of specific projects. Current
project include: the USAID funded MUREKE DUSOME project which is implemented in
collaboration with Save the Children International, Rwanda; and the GAVI funded
communication project to raise awareness on the importance of immunization in
Rwanda which is implemented in collaboration with RBC/SPIU. Urunana DC wishes
to fill one vacant position of an Intern whose education background must be in
accounting and Finance.

- Assisting
in preparation of financial transactions guided by the accountant; - Ensuring
proper filling of all documents in the department; - Prepare
and declare VAT, PAYE, RSSB & WHT 15%,
- Do
Bank reconciliation for Urunana D.C - Recording/registering
the in-coming and out-going courier ensuring proper referencing; - Attend
to other assignments in the department as deemed necessary by his/her
supervisor.

Have a bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas: Accounting and/or
Finance from a recognized University institution;

Having passed with a First class or Second class Upper division bachelors’
degree, constitutes an added advantage;
