Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE) is a nationally and
internationally recognised centre of excellence in health economics and health
services research. CHERE is a world leader in the research and evaluation of
health policies, funding and health care delivery and in the methodology and
practice of health technology assessment (HTA).

CHERE
is seeking to build on its current strengths in quantitative evaluation of
health policy, measurement of preferences and health technology assessment and
is strategically appointing outstanding international researchers as a result
of continued upward trajectory in funding.
In
this role, you will contribute to the overall research, teaching and engagement
strategy of the Centre by leading and managing research programs, building
collaborative research networks, attracting new research funding, contributing
to the development of new teaching programs, mentoring early and mid career
researchers, supervising PhD students and actively engaging with policy makers
in the health system.
Our
key focus areas for strategic expansion of the Centre are application of
discrete choice experiments to health and health care, methods and applications
in health technology assessment and quantitative evaluation of health policy.
To
be successful in applying for this role, you should have:
  • An
    excellent track record in teaching and learning, with experience in
    providing high quality postgraduate teaching and supervision
  • An
    outstanding track record in generating research income
  • Substantial
    demonstrated experience and expertise in one or more of the following
    research areas:
        a)
Discrete choice experiment methodology
        b) Health technology assessment
        c) Quantitative methods and
analysis of large datasets
Doctoral
qualifications in economics or health services research or other relevant
discipline, with recognition as a leading authority in a field of expertise
relevant to health economics.
Remuneration
Salary
Range: $142,116 to $176,712 pa (Level D/E)

The university offers 17% superannuation. Employee benefits include flexible

This
appointment will be on a 5 year fixed term full time basis.
