About the scholarship

The University of Nottingham is offering Fully-funded Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Research Excellence (European Union). The Scholarship is open to the European Union (non-UK) students, who already hold an offer to start a full-time research degree programme, Ph.D. or MPhil, at Nottingham in any subject area.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Research Excellence aim to recognize and reward applications from outstanding international students.

The University of Nottingham is a public research university based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881 and was granted a Royal Charter in 1948.

They welcome applications from suitable candidates but would particularly value applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of each faculty.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue research programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are provided to learn any of the courses offered by the University of Nottingham.

Scholarship Award: full tuition fee scholarships plus a stipend of £7,000 per annum.

Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility: You can apply for this scholarship if you:

  • are classed as a European Union (non-UK) student for fee purposes AND
  • already hold an offer to start a full-time research degree programme, Ph.D. or MPhil, at Nottingham with a start date that falls between 01 October and 01 December 2019 (inclusive), in any subject area.

Note that these scholarships are for up to each of 3 years of a research programme, subject to satisfactory progress.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
