We are currently seeking a highly motivated and
passionate individual to join our Low Income Support Service Team as a
Financial Counsellor, based at our Bowden office plus some outreach work.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality
service, exercising considerable levels of expertise in financial counselling,
case management, advocacy and negotiation skills.

Major accountabilities include:
- To provide financial counselling services to
clients facing financial difficulty - To provide community education relating to
financial counselling.
The Person
- Diploma Community Services (Financial
Counselling) - Experience in financial counselling in the
community sector - Member of SA Financial Counsellors Association.
- A high standard of written and verbal
communication skills including advocacy, counselling and negotiation
skills with an ability to communicate with people from culturally and
linguistically diverse (CALD) or with complex backgrounds - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the
issues facing people experiencing financial hardship - Ability to be able to provide on-going relevant
police checks.
