PRIMARY LEVEL: UMUBANO PRIMARY SCHOOL
Umubano Primary School is a newly constructed private school including Nursery
to Primary 6. In partnership with an international NGO, we seek to create a
center of excellence for students and teachers alike. We require dynamic and
experienced Class Teachers for Nursery and Primary classrooms 1-6 for January
2013.
To find high quality teachers we are holding performance based interviews on
Tuesday, November 27 and Wednesday, November 28. Each candidate will be asked
to teach a short lesson (15 minutes) in front of the panel in order to
demonstrate skill in using student-centered methods. Candidates should come
prepared with a written lesson plan for the lesson they will demonstrate along
with their CV. Candidates will take their turns one by one on a first come
first serve basis during blocks of time on the interview days.

• Wednesday, November 28th 9am-12pm
• Wednesday, November 28th 1pm-3pm
in the lush valley between Kabeza and Niboye, accessible from either
neighborhood – Cell: Kabeza, Village: Nyarurembo.
Required:
• At least 1 year classroom teaching experience at the primary level (3
preferred)
• A teaching certificate with supporting documents.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Ability to plan creative and inspiring lessons and develop teaching and
learning materials effectively.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to participate in professional development
activities.
Preferred:
• Some experience with a holistic, child-centered teaching approach
• A Bachelor’s Degree
