Turtle Island Recycling Corporation Account Manager Job Vacancy in Toronto, Ontario

Job Purpose:
• To manage the Customer from account setup, launch, and the entire term of the contract
• To develop sustainable waste solutions for large accounts with the prime objective of achieving Zero Waste.
• To develop the baseline, establish agreement for customer waste objectives, and develop programs and recommendations to achieve Zero Waste objectives.
• To establish accurate diversion reporting and interpret the reporting results to develop continuous improvement recommendations and approaches.

Reporting Relationships:
• Reports to VP Inside Account Management and Manager Outside Account Management
• Communicate with all levels of customer, all levels of Turtle Island management, operation and sales employees

Duties:
• Co-develop with the Sales Department the overall account strategy
• Meet with various levels of the customer organization to develop accurate and accepted requirements
• Once the requirements are defined develop the execution plan to meet and exceed the Customer’s needs
• Independently manage the delivery and achievement of recommendations and programs to meet customer objectives for Zero Waste (if required)
• Establish and lead internal cross-functional teams as required to provide the required support for the delivery and management of TIR programs or services to the Customer
• Take the lead on resolving chronic and/or unique Customer issues to capture repeat business
• Perform Customer visits: verify services provided and provide recommendations, train the Customer where required, ensure Customer information is up to date, and evaluate accurate
• Be responsible and accountable for the accuracy and integrity of diversion reporting and other customer satisfaction measures as defined invoicing

Working Environment:
• Hours: eight (8) hour day with occasional overtime work where required

Knowledge:
• Education: A university degree in environmental science, sustainability, human behavioral science or related field is required
• A belief, understanding and application of the principles and values of sustainability
• Familiarity with the evolving Zero Waste Standards, the Green House Protocol Initiative, ISO 14001, Corporate Social Responsibility
• Experience in the Waste Management field is an asset

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience in the sustainability field required
