The Embassy of the
United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for the position of Electrician
(FIRE & SWER)
BASIC FUNCTION OF
POSITION
Incumbent Performs
full journeyman level electrical installation, preventive maintenance, routine
and emergency maintenance and repair work to electrical systems and components
in GO and STL.office and residential properties.
Requirements:
All applicants must
address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive
information supporting each item.
1) Completion of
secondary school required. Completion of vocational training or apprenticeship
leading to a Journeyman Level Certificate as a licensed electrician required.
2) One to two years
working in a building maintenance environment as a Journeyman Electrician.
3) Level III English
and Level IV Kinyanvanda are required.
4) Excellent working
knowledge of all electrical and mechanical tools and test equipment associated
with the trade Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams in troubleshooting
In the component level for all equipment and systems under his/her
responsibility.
5) Must have a valid
Rwandan driver’s license. Note: All required skills will be tested.
